This makes it a good game for people who like to sit down and really think about what the best course of action is next. Learn to Fly is mainly a combination of an Idle Game and a Strategy Game. In short, there are just a lot of things going on in Learn to Fly. Learn to Fly combines a lot of different skills, from the strategical upgrading that players must efficiently do to the skills that are required to fly as far as possible with the upgrades that they are given. In contrast, Learn to Fly Idle is about automating upgrades to your canon's power, speed, and more to get a high score and shoot down snowmen. In the original Learn to Fly, players are trying to help your penguin get as much distance as possible to break through the giant iceberg over one mile away. The overall goal is different in the two games as well. In Learn to Fly Idle, players are shooting cannons and destroying objects like snowmen, instead of shooting themselves off of a snowy ramp and trying to launch for as distance as they can. What is the difference between Learn to Fly and Learn to Fly Idle? Although Learn to Fly has a simple and straightforward concept, it quickly became a staple of Coolmath Games and has stayed as one of our most popular games on the site over the past decade. Learn to Fly came out in December of 2011 and was released by Light Bringer Games. Both Learn to fly and Learn to Fly Idle are playable on Coolmath Games. ![]() There are 4 Learn to Fly games that have been released: Learn to Fly 1, 2, and 3, and Learn to Fly Idle.

There will be 4 pre recorded vides provided throughout the term. Once the term starts there won't be any refunds. If for some reason the two class times (Monday 7:00pm or another time to be determined) don't work out for you, I will give you a full refund before the term starts. Once I get a head count of everyone I will send out a survey to see which class time is best. Those in other parts of the world I will add a second class during the week that works best with the schedule of all who sign up. For those in the USA we will be meeting Monday evening at 7:00pm PST. I will show you how to composite your render passes together to add life to the final images and make them exciting to show your design off with.įor this term we will be starting the first week of February. Lastly we will be using photoshop to finish off our renders and get our projects ready to share with the world. Keyshot is also pretty simple to use with beautiful results and I will be teaching you how to use this software. You will just need to get used to a few simple things in those software's. We use Maya or similar modeling tools mostly as a home base for bringing all our different Moi3D designs together and setting up our scene to send to Keyshot to render, but we won't be doing too much 3D modeling in Maya or a similar program. I will teach you how to use the software to create your own original ideas. I recommend having a little 3D modeling experience in any 3D modeling software, but if you are fairly new to 3D you will be just fine. Moi3D is a fairly easy to use software and quite fun to use. )(If you don't have a student id we can discuss different ways to get access to Keyshot 10 for the duration of this class) Keyshot 10 (student cost is $95.00/month but you need a student ID to get it for that cost. Maya or similar Polygon modeling software that you are comfortable with. Moment of Inspiration (MOI3D - )(Price is $295.00)Ģ. The following software is REQUIRED to participate in the class.ġ. Starting with the research phase, getting things going in 3D, creating the design, rendering and making the final images. We will be discussing the entire process from start to finish. We will be using mostly Moment of Inspiration to quickly create our own hard surface designs. You can find more information on KeyShot trial versions on Try KeyShot. This 3D Concept Design Class is perfect for those looking to learn how to bring their ideas to "digital" life. Learn more about subscription licenses here. However, you can use your subscription license for up to three different devices that you can manage. The license requires that you sign in to KeyShot and can only be active on one machine at a time.

Previous studies of DSs have recommended increased staffing levels in order to allow more time for sleep, in an effort to reduce accidents, 1 and improve behavioral health and morale. 21 Furthermore, once injuries occur, long work hours might make it difficult to recover or find time to seek treatment. 15 Sleep deprivation may contribute to elevated injury risk by altering cognitive and motor control functions, thereby increasing the risk of accidents 16–18 and weakening the body’s ability to resist and recover from stressors to bone 19, 20 and muscle structures. 14 A study of female trainees in IET found that most incidents of stress fractures immediately followed nights of relative sleep deprivation. Army Special Operations Forces found that soldiers who slept less than 4 h/d were 2.4 times more likely to experience an MSKI compared with those who slept more than 8 hours. 6īesides the inherent physical demands of the role, the low levels of sleep achieved by DSs may increase their risk of injury. 11 Although much of this literature has focused on injuries acquired by military trainees, at least one epidemiological study has identified MSKIs as a leading contributor to medical profiles in military training instructors. 13 Additionally, MSKIs were factors in 90% of disability charges for enlisted soldiers during their first year of service in 2010-2015. 12 MSKIs are particularly prevalent during Initial Entry Training (IET), affecting approximately 40% of male and 61% of female Army trainees from 2002 to 2007 and costing approximately $22 million annually in direct medical costs. 10 Moreover, MSKIs were cited as factors in 70% of Army-wide medical disability discharges between 20, 11 and in 2001 (the most recently available estimates to our knowledge), 26% of the compensation paid directly to disabled service members across all branches went to those with musculoskeletal disabilities. 8 Among AC soldiers, non-combat injuries account for more than 80% of injuries 9 and for 65% of medically nondeployable soldiers. Army, it is estimated that activity-limiting MSKI profiles are held by 15% of Active Component (AC), 12% of National Guard, and 10% of Reserve soldiers. In particular, musculoskeletal injuries (MSKIs), which include injuries to bone, muscle, tendon, ligament, and connective tissue, diminish military force readiness, increase rates of attrition and separation/discharge, and inflate medical care and long-term disability costs. Physical injuries are of great concern across all military service components. Army DSs to assess the prevalence of acquiring physical injuries, seeking treatment, and perceiving barriers to treatment-seeking and to identify associated demographic and environmental factors. 6 Furthermore, to our knowledge, no studies have assessed the likelihood of initial training instructors within any branch to seek treatment when injuries arise. ![]() To our knowledge, the only study to examine the occurrence of physical injuries in initial training instructors was conducted within the U.S. 2–6 However, the acquisition of physical injuries within DSs has not been characterized. 1 Previous work on initial military training instructors across multiple service branches has characterized general negative physical and mental health outcomes in these populations. During a minimum assignment of 2 years, DSs report working long hours (14.7 h/d and 6.4 d/wk) while obtaining low levels of sleep (75% report 5 hours or less per night). Army drill sergeant (DS) is mentally and physically demanding. Listening to teens also empowers them to be more responsible, she says. Professor Blakemore argues that, during lockdowns, recognizing the importance of peer interaction via social media may be more beneficial to their mental health than simply telling them to get off screens and do something else. That includes listening to them about screen time. "We have to listen to young people and not just decide … what's stressing them out and what's causing low wellbeing," she says. Professor Blakemore says that we can help alleviate much of this stress and anxiety by taking their concerns more seriously. Through these studies, researchers have observed significant changes in the brains and behaviour of socially isolated mice and rats, including increased stress, anxiety, aggression, hyper-reactivity and a tendency toward addiction. ![]() "But we do know … that if you isolate mice and rats during their period of adolescence … that has more damaging effects on brain development, behavioural development and mental health than the same social isolation, either before adolescence or in adulthood." what we would call a natural experiment and not a very nice one," she explains. " has … never been studied rigorously in humans. Rodents' adolescent development progresses in similar stages to human development. The ethics of inflicting long periods of isolation on teens means that Professor Blakemore and her colleagues conducted their studies on mice and rats. This is a particular risk during lockdown. Without it, teens risk an underdevelopment of those critical social skills, which can lead to anxiety and depression, particularly if they don't have positive family relationships. ![]() This sensitivity helps young people's development and also helps them to foster a more complete sense of social self-identity. Teens are more sensitive to peer acceptance, rejection and approval than young children or adults. "We know that being isolated is a very big risk factor for mental health problems, actually, of all ages, but particularly in ," she says.Īccording to Professor Blakemore and others' research, adolescence is a period marked by a heightened need for social interaction. ![]() "From many years of research … we know that young people require social interaction and social learning in order for development to take place, and it also helps their mental health. While Professor Blakemore agrees that lockdowns to prevent the spread of COVID-19 makes good public health sense, she argues that social isolation is potentially more damaging for developing brains than hours of screen time. "At least they can maintain communication with friends through social media and that might help to mitigate the potentially harmful effects of depriving them of face-to-face social interaction during this period of life," she says. And in some ways, that's a great reassurance because … their face-to-face social contact is really restricted ," she tells ABC RN's Big Ideas. Paycheck Protection Program loans and rent deferments certainly also played a part in keeping some local businesses open during the pandemic’s first months. Hamachi can set up gaming servers to emulate a local area network. Much like Hamachi can set up a virtual corporate LAN, it can be put to equal use with gaming. Hamachi is an excellent tool for Windows in today’s atmosphere of remote networks and virtual business, it’s also a popular app for modern gamers. This gives users basic network access control with any and all network resources that they might need. It’s a quicker, easier way to directly connect remote machines with each other. Instead of the spokes of a wheel connecting to a singular hub, this option is more like a spiderweb, with connections intersecting at multiple angles. This allows each remote computer in the network to connect with one another.
